Medicaid SpecialistBenefits Offered:HealthcareDentalVisionPTO401KYour Job Summary:The Medicaid Specialist will assist the Business Development Team with completing Medicaid applications. This includes assisting with collecting documents, completing supplemental forms, and completing applications.Your Qualifications:• Experience in the application/renewal process for Medicaid in LTC facilities• Proficient computer skills• Well organized and able to multitask• Attention to detail• Ability to travel, which includes a valid driver's license and automobile insuranceYour Responsibilities:Principal Responsibilities• Review referrals and Medicaid questionnaire from assigned patients to determine eligibility for Medicaid.• Assist in completing applications and collecting supporting documentation.• May have communication with the residents and/or family members regarding the application process and supporting documentation needed.• Maintain tracking system for all assigned Medicaid Pending residents to approval.• Maintain tracking system to monitor Medicaid application process.• Attend daily census calls with assigned facilities.• Report any delays, barriers or denials to the Regional Director of Business Development.• Ensure compliance with all State laws in relation to your position.• Adherence to the Organization's Compliance Plan and Code of Ethics.• May occasionally assist other departments within the Central Billing Office.Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without notice.Equal Opportunity EmployerOPCO Skilled Management provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
