Medical AssistantPima - Vascular OBL - Tucson, AZ 85718OverviewPosition Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School Diploma/GEDCategory: Other PositionsDescriptionUS Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our vascular team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ to assist Provider(s) in daily operations of his/her clinic and patient care.Responsibilities:Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patientsInterviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information of patients' charts.Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipmentAssists with wound careInventories and orders medical supplies and materialsOperates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for testsScreens telephone calls for physiciansReturns patient phone callsCalls in patient prescriptionsSchedule hospital and outpatient surgeriesAnswers triage callsTravel requiredOther related duties may be assignedRequirements:Completion of a Medical Assistant programCardiac Experience preferred but not requiredKnowledge in medical terminologyAbout Tucson, AZ:Tucson offers stunning desert landscapes, mountain views, and over 300 days of sunshine.
