Medical Assistant OpportunityWe are seeking a reliable Medical Assistant to join our clinical team in Amherst, MA. This full-time role supports day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality care. The ideal candidate is experienced in outpatient settings and comfortable working within a team-based environment. Flexibility to provide occasional coverage at nearby clinics is appreciated.Location: Cross coverage between 2 clinics; Amherst/Northampton, MASchedule: 40 hours/weekClinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMCompensation: $22 – $24 per hour, based on experienceClinical Duties (may include, but are not limited to):Taking patient medical histories and explaining treatment proceduresPerforming vital signs and EKGsCollecting and preparing lab specimens; performing in-office lab testsSterilizing instruments and maintaining exam room cleanlinessAdministering injections, vaccinations, and medications as directed by a licensed providerAssisting physicians during patient examinationsChanging dressings and providing basic wound careTransmitting prescription refill requests as directedAccurately documenting in Electronic Medical Records, preferably eClinicalWorksSupporting patient education and communicating clearlyFront office coverage as neededRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of a Medical Assisting program preferredMedical Assisting certificationPrior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical settingKnowledge of OSHA/CLIA guidelines, universal precautions, and infection control protocolsFamiliarity with eClinicalWorks or similar EMR systems highly desirableCurrent CPR certification
