Medical Assistant | Specialty ClinicJoin a busy specialty clinic supporting both patient care. We're looking for a professional, detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing exceptional patient care.Responsibilities:Room patients, take vital signs, and update medical historiesAssist with scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and copaysManage patient calls, messages, and prescription requestsPrepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain cleanliness standardsAccurately document information in EMR systemsQualifications:Active Medical Assistant Certification and CPR/BLS certification1+ year of Medical Assistant experience (specialty clinic experience preferred)EMR experience (Athena, Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar)Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skillsOncology, women's health/gynecology, or high-volume clinic experience is a plusBilingual candidates encouraged to applyThis is a great opportunity for someone who is adaptable, proactive, and eager to grow within a collaborative clinical team.Essential Skills:Active Medical Assistant Certification1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant, not necessarily in this specialtyExperience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly AthenaProficiency in medical terminology, healthcare, and vital signs chartingCPR/BLS certificationPolished and professional demeanorAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Experience in a specialty or oncology clinic is preferredSkilled in both back office and some front office clinic duties including insurance verification, copays, referrals, and scheduling appointmentsExperience in gynecological specialty is preferredBilingual abilities are a plusComfortable working in a radiation specialtyAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and flexibility skillsWillingness to learn and take initiativeWork Environment:The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with a 30-minute lunch break during which clinic phones are turned off. The role involves working with adult patients in a fast-paced environment, requiring candidates to be on their feet throughout the day.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, TX.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
