Job description
Medical AssistantVolt is immediately hiring for a Medical Assistant in Camillus, NY.As a Medical Assistant you will:Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone in a professional and friendly manner.Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate follow-ups.Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Verify insurance information and process billing or payment transactions.Prepare and organize medical charts and documentation for providers.Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence promptly and accurately.Assist with basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and sterilizing equipment.Support physicians and nurses with administrative tasks as needed.This is a full-time opportunity. Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:30pmThe ideal candidate will have the following experience:High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration preferred.Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.Pay rate: $19.00 to $20.00 per hourBenefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
