Mercy Medical Center Job OpportunityThis position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by performing administrative and clinical duties in an outpatient setting including limited medication administration in the outpatient setting.Job duties include triaging patients either in person or on telephone, scheduling appointments, answering questions, determining the need for provider intervention, supporting the practice and acting as a liaison between the providers and patients, managing phone calls to patients regarding test/lab results and providing appropriate instruction for treatment as directed by the providers, processing medication requests/changes/refills per established protocols, meeting requirements for handling and disposing of bio-hazardous waste, providing patient education as needed for the scheduled test/procedures, providing assistance with diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed by the provider, and effectively documenting within the electronic health record.Follows Mercy's safety guidelines, carries out job-specific safety duties and responsibilities, and promptly reports any unsafe conditions, situations, incidents, and injuries.
