Certified Medical AssistantPerforms routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.Reports to: Director of Physician ServicesFLSA: Non-exemptEducation: High school diploma or equivalent Required; Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent RequiredLicense: CCMA, CMA or RMACertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire.Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Our team includes physicians, nurses, certified medical assistants, patient service representatives, and referral specialists who work together to support patients from consultation through post-operative recovery. We care for a wide variety of surgical conditions and procedures while focusing on patient education, safety, and exceptional service. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where teamwork, compassion, and excellent patient care are at the center of everything we do.How you'll contributeA Certified Medical Assistant who excels in this role:Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
