The Medical Assistant will travel daily to the office location where the physician is seeing patients. Occasional local travel to other offices within the assigned geographic region may also be required.REPORTS TO: Practice Operations ManagerPOSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a Full-time, Medical Assistant to work alongside the physician and assist with patient care. This includes taking basic vital signs, preparing the room, verifying patient information, assisting with in-office procedures, and scheduling the patient's next appointment. The Medical Assistant will also help manage the patient's schedule and assist with office duties.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInterview patients to gather medical history and update medical recordsGather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulsePrepare treatment rooms and patients for examSterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure traysManage medical supplies and materials and work with their operational leader to order necessary inventoryTake x-raysPerform administrative tasks and become cross-trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support when needed.Other duties are to support the physician and team with patient care activities.REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION2 years in a healthcare position desiredExperience using electronic health recordsHigh school diploma or GED required.Strong verbal and written communication skillsCommitted to continuous performance improvementPatient-focused with the ability to work independentlyCapability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environmentBENEFITS:Medical, Dental, and Vision PlansHSA with Employer ContributionFSAGenerous PTO Program401k with a 3% MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramLife and AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityPHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of duties or responsibilities required by the employee.
