Medical Assistant – Children's ProgramJoin our dynamic team as a Medical Assistant and play a pivotal role in promoting student health and well-being! As a Medical Assistant, you'll take charge of scheduling medical and dental appointments, transporting students to essential healthcare visits, and providing vital clerical support to ensure compliance with Department of Education, EEC, and Department of Public Health regulations.Location: Brewster, MACompensation: $ per hour (based on experience)Schedule: 40 hours per weekKey Responsibilities:Assist the Nursing Staff in meeting Department of Education and Department of Public Health regulationsAdminister prescribed medications and treatments as directedSchedule and transport individuals to medical and dental appointmentsOrder and refill medical and first aid suppliesMaintain medical files in a neat and organized manner; file documents in a timely wayDocument data and pertinent information in medical filesComplete Medication Administration Training, CPR, First Aid, and TCI; take weights and vital signsAttend team meetings as necessaryMeet regularly with the Director of Nursing to review scheduling and student issuesPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorRequirements:High School diploma or GED requiredCurrent driver's licenseComputer literacyAbility to safely handle children in crisis situations with compassionMedical office experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and medical record keeping preferred but not requiredExperience working with special needs population preferred but not requiredBenefits:Generous 5 weeks of Paid Time OffTop-notch health plans (with Latham covering the first 75% of the deductible through an HRA)Tuition reimbursement for continuous learningChildcare reimbursement403(b) Retirement fund match to secure your future (up to 5%)Temporary individual housing may be available, based on availabilityLatham Centers, Inc.
