Certified Medical AssistantPride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Specific Duties:Ability to evaluate patient needs, administer prescribed medications, assist physician with examinations and treatment, prepare and apply dressings, and instruct patients in health measures and self-care as instructed by the physician.Knowledge of medical terminology required.Ability to document and report findings and observations.Ability to perform EKGs.Ability to provide on-site emergency treatment within scope of practice.Ability to complete a color blindness test.Strong phlebotomy skills.Must be computer literate.Ability to interact and verbally communicate effectively with patients and all levels of personnel in a professional, courteous and effective manner with excellent customer service skills.Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment with good organizational skills.Ability to follow written and oral instructions and to work with general guidance.Knowledge of HIPAA regulationsQualifications:Certified Medical AssistantHigh school diploma or equivalentBLS CertificationAt least one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant in Primary Care Office.Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.Additional Information:Location: Altamonte Springs, FL 32714Job Type: 3+ months contract to HireOffice Hours: Monday -Friday 8 am-5 pmPay Range: $20/hr - $23/hr. on W2*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.PrideGlobal and it's affiliates offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment OpportunityPrideGlobal and it's affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
