Medical Assistant - Correctional Health Technician (MA/CHT)Location: Arizona Organization: CHS (Correctional Health Services) Shift: Night Shift – 3 x 12-hour shifts/week Duration: Minimum 13 weeksAddress: 201 S 4th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003Facility Name: Maricopa County jail - Fourth Avenue Jail Pay Rate: $21/hrJob SummaryCorrectional Health Services (CHS) is seeking qualified and dedicated Medical Assistants / Correctional Health Technicians (MA/CHT) to provide high-quality patient care within a correctional healthcare setting. The MA/CHT will work under the supervision of licensed medical or nursing personnel and perform clinical and administrative duties.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for examinations and treatmentsObtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaintsPerform routine clinical procedures, tests, and examinationsAdminister injections, immunizations, and TB skin tests per protocolPerform venipuncture and collect lab specimensMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDCompletion of a Medical Assistant training program accredited as per Arizona regulationsMinimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar roleStrong computer and documentation skillsRequired Certifications & DocumentsCertificate of completion from an accredited MA program (as per Arizona Revised Statutes A.R.S. § (D) or applicable exceptions)Current N95 Fit Test CertificationCurrent First Aid CertificationPreferred SkillsExperience in correctional or institutional healthcare settingsKnowledge of infection control and safety protocolsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, secure environmentWork EnvironmentCorrectional healthcare settingDirect patient interaction under supervisionNight shift schedule with consistent weekly hours
