Dermatology Medical Assistant (Float)We're hiring a full-time Dermatology Medical Assistant (Float) to support our dermatology teams across multiple clinics in the North Atlanta area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, can adapt quickly to different providers and workflows, and is comfortable stepping in where support is needed most.Rather than being assigned to one office, you'll travel between locations including Duluth, Suwanee, Buford, Cumming, and Marietta to help support clinic operations and patient care across each location. Mileage reimbursement is provided.Please note: prior hands-on dermatology experience is required to be considered for this position.Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PMWhat Makes This Role DifferentThis is not a single-site position. Our network includes 300+ providers across 110+ locations, with a continued focus on growth, education, and patient-centered care.ResponsibilitiesCore ResponsibilitiesSupport daily clinic flow across multiple dermatology locationsRoom patients, obtain vital signs, update medical histories, and document chief complaintsAssist providers with general dermatology visits, skin exams, and follow-up appointmentsPrepare exam rooms, instruments, supplies, and procedure trays for clinic and procedural appointmentsAssist during biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, cyst removals, and other in-office dermatology proceduresDraw up medications and assist with the administration of local anesthetics as directed by providersPrepare, label, and route pathology specimens according to protocol and insurance requirementsComplete EMR documentation and scribe during patient visits using EMA EMRManage patient callbacks, clinical messages, prior authorizations, and task lists as neededClean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and exam roomsMonitor and restock clinical supplies while maintaining infection control standardsFollow OSHA, HIPAA, and safety protocols at all timesQualificationsWhat You'll Need to SucceedComfortable working as a float across multiple clinic locations (Duluth, Suwanee, Buford, Cumming & Marietta)Reliable transportationAbility to adapt quickly to new environments and workflowsStrong time management and prioritization skillsComfort working with different providers and teamsSolid understanding of patient care workflows in an outpatient settingExperience with EMR systems and clinical documentationReliable transportation and willingness to travel between officesLicensure/Certifications/EducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 1-2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience requiredPrior hands-on dermatology experience requiredExperience assisting with dermatology procedures preferredPhlebotomy experiencePhysical Requirements:Standing and walking for extended periodsFrequent movement including bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 30 lbs)Use of fine motor skills for clinical proceduresExposure to clinical environments, including sharps and biohazardsBenefits (30+ Hours per Week)Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceShort-term and long-term disabilityCompany-paid Life and AD&D insuranceVoluntary benefits optionsPaid time off and holidaysRetirement savings planEmployee discounts on cosmetic services and products
