Job description
Job TitleWelcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries, in a professional and courteous manner.Must comply with keeping up with logs that must be completed for compliance by state agencies.Taking patient medical historiesMeasure vital signs such as blood pressure, weigh patient.Explain treatment procedures to patients.Preparing patients for examination.Assist physician during examinations.Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.Performing basic laboratory tests.Instructing patients about medication and special diets.Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician.Transmitting prescription refills as directed.Draws blood from patients.Taking electro cardiograms.Removing sutures and changing dressing.Some administrative duties as trained and assigned i.e.: Computer applications, Answering Telephones, Greeting patients, Scheduling appointments, Updating and filing patient medical records, Coding and filing out insurance forms, scheduling appointments, arranging for hospital admission and laboratory services, and handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
