As a MA Externship Coordinator with The College of Health Care Professions you can be a part of an organization that is devoted to giving back!Job Summary and QualificationsWork under and reports to the Campus President to ensure adequate number of externship sites are available to meet the need of the program. Responsible for recruit, develop and monitor extern sites for student assignments. He/she should constantly market the programs offered throughout the medical community and actively seek additional externship sites for the students. Responsible for 40% of externship sites hiring students by program.CHCP Core ValuesOur core values are a small set of timeless guiding principles which we live by and include: Innovation: We embrace organizational goals and drive positive change.Compassion: We care about our students, their future employers, and the communities that they serve.Accountability: We are committed to responsibly upholding and reinforcing our values. • Respect: We are accepting and considerate of others, regardless of background, abilities, or beliefs.Excellence: We execute our goals with passion and purpose and strive for the highest quality in our results.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain federal, state and accreditation complianceEnsures organizational requirements are met of 40% of externs are hired by their siteMonitor and maintain TWC and accreditation regulations of all student records with respect to site evaluations, time cards, surveys and any other required documentationAttain a thorough knowledge of all rules and standards set forth by the state, federal and accrediting board with respect to the externship and ensure all rules and regulations are adhered toResponsible for the recruitment and maintaining of extern sites, marketing to the medical community, communications and public relations of the department and schoolEnsure sufficient opening are available at sites for number of students needing externshipsMeets number of new sites developed designated by company metricsServe as liaison between students, college faculty and the organization providing the externshipWorks closely with the Placement Coordinator on assisting the student into employment after graduationCounsel students who are not attending externship as scheduledTrack and assure that all students complete a final exit after externship is completedAssist the students with career development, professionalism, resume preparation and interviewing skillsUpdate and maintain affiliation agreementsMonitor, track and provide feedback to the extern regarding timesheetsEnsure all attendance is recorded and filedMaintain CampusVue data on students site assignmentsArrange and conduct externship orientation prior to externshipConduct weekly site visitsAttend and participate in staff meetingsParticipate in student orientationKeep accurate records in an organized mannerPerform other duties as assigned by the Career Services Director or Campus PresidentEducationHigh school diploma or GEDExperienceExperience speaking effectively before groups of students, customers or employees of organization.Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.Computer SkillsMust be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, and Word) and data entry.BenefitsThe College of Health Care Professions offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
