Medical Assistant PositionThe Toledo Clinic is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to perform both clinical and clerical duties. This position will be scheduled Monday/Tuesday/Friday (8:30-5:00) and Wednesday/Thursday (8:30-4:00). The office is located on our main campus (4235 Secor Rd, Toledo OH)Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.General SummaryAssist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties. Works under the supervision of the Office ManagerPrincipal Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).Escorting patients to exam room.Preparing exam rooms.Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).Sterilizing and preparing instruments.At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.Administering injections.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Required- Excellent interpersonal skills required. - Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. - Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. - Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. - Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA)Education-Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.Preferred- Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.
