Medical Assistant OpportunityPride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility, located in Fishkill, NY 12524. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Job title: Medical AssistantLocation: Fishkill, NY 12524Duration: ContractPay: $20 - $23. on w2/Pay rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.Shift: 8am - 5pm; 7:30 am - 4:30pm, 8:30 am - 5:30pm & occasional Saturdays 9-1.Specific duties:Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepare patients for examinationRecords patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.Respects patient confidentiality always and treat patients with courtesy and respect.Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stock and clean rooms and sterilizes instruments.Practices standard infection control precautionsTelephone and in-person screening are limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledgeProvide data reporting and tracking on HEDIS MeasuresProcess referral authorization requests for patients.Performs all other related duties as assignedQualifications:1+ years of experience required.Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or RMA.High school diploma or equivalentBLS CertificationPride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
