Dermatology Medical Assistant (MA)We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant (MA) to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, including assisting with dermatologic procedures, patient intake, documentation, and care coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.Benefits: Competitive salary, Employee discounts, Flexible scheduleClinical DutiesPrepare patients for examinations and procedures (e.g., biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy)Assist providers during dermatologic procedures, including sterile setup and instrument handlingPerform patient intake: record medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaintsTake clinical photographs and assist with documentation in the EMRProvide post-procedure care instructions and patient educationClean and sterilize instruments and maintain exam room readinessAdministrative DutiesSchedule appointments and manage patient flowHandle prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription processingMaintain accurate patient records and documentationCoordinate lab specimens and pathology trackingSupport front desk operations as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; MA certification preferred1+ year of clinical experience, dermatology experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with EMR systemsStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a team environmentCompensation: $21.00 - $23.50 per hourAmerican Family Care has pioneered the concept of convenient, patient-centric healthcare.
