Job description
Medical Assistant$1,000 Sign-on BonusMedical Assistants provide critical support to the nurse practitioners and physicians in providing quality medical care to both medical and behavioral health patients.Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):Take patient vital signs, including but not limited to blood pressure, pulse rate, height, and weightRoom patients and establish a reason for the visit. Document chief complaintWork collaboratively with the provider for the coordination of quality health care for clinic patientsManage patient flow with the correct balancing of scheduled appointments and walk-ins according to the number and skills of providers presentClean medical equipment as necessary. Routinely check oxygen levels in the oxygen tankPrepare exam rooms and assist the provider with proceduresPrepare patients for exams/proceduresAssist with all Covid/Flu clinics at all 3 locationsPre-Visit Planning including reaching out to patients due for vaccines that do not have appointment scheduled yetAssist with inventory managementProvide back up support to Clinical CoordinatorOther Duties as assignedEducation and Experience RequirementsHigh school graduateCurrent Certified Medical Assistant or LPN, preferred2 or more years of experience in the medical field may be adequate instead of a MA certificationBLS/CPR certifiedBenefits:Health Insurance – Fordland Clinic pays 90% of an individual employee's monthly premium costs, and a significant portion of alternate plans for employee only, employee + spouse, employee+ child(ren), or family coverage.Dental Insurance – Fordland Clinic offers affordable dental insurance, as well as a buy up option for those anticipating higher expected dental expenses.Vision Insurance – that includes coverage options for eye exams, glasses as well as contact lenses.Life Insurance – Fordland Clinic Provides $15,000 of life insurance to its employees at no cost to the employee. Clinic hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday. Current need for this role is Tuesday - Friday 8am-6pm. Although this is the typical schedule for the role, this position may be scheduled to work any of the days the clinic is open (Monday through Saturday) and may be scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening and may be scheduled to leave one hour after closing, depending on patients scheduled.
