Medical Assistant FT Evenings 2pm-10:30pm, with Rotating WeekendsGA, Valdosta - Valdosta State Prison - Valdosta, GA 31603OverviewPosition Type: Full-Time Job Shift: Evening Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage: None Category: Nursing Professional & SupportDescriptionCenturion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Georgia Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Valdosta State Prison located in Valdosta, Georgia.Pay Range: $17-$22The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab tests, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.QualificationsThe Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab tests, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures.
