Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology - AMP (La Jolla)This is a benefited, full-time position located at the Anderson Medical Pavilion (AMP) in La Jolla. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There are no weekend or holiday shifts.Why join Scripps Health? Leadership team fosters career growth Team supports each other and works well covering each other in time of needWhat you'll do:Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with proceduresClinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocolsMaintains a clean, organized, and safe environmentOrganizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practiceRelaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized personCollecting patient data in person and by phoneDocumenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's reviewAdministering medications specifically directed by the physicianScheduling of appointments and proceduresComplete and accurate message takingRouting messages to the appropriate area for directionOrder and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certificationsSetting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographicsRequired Qualifications: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program or a minimum of two years of experience as a Military Corpsman or Medical Assistant Certification BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Qualifications: One year of previous MA clinic experienceJob: Clinical SupportPrimary Location: Central San Diego County-LA JOLLA-SCF-ANDERSON MEDICAL PAVILIONWork Locations: SCF-ANDERSON MEDICAL PAVILION 9898 GENESEE AVE LA JOLLA 92037Organization: Scripps ClinicMinimum Rate (USD): 25.95 -Maximum Rate (USD): 32.56 In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs.
