Medical Assistant Geauga Women's GroupA Brief Overview The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. This role includes but not limited to rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, supporting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care.What You Will DoFacilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.Assist with front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.Performs basic patient centered care as delegated by providerProvides a safe environment for patientsAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.QualificationsEducation: Completion of a Medical Assistant Program (Required) and High School Equivalent / GED (Required)Work Experience: less than 1 year clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (Preferred)Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. (Required proficiency) Able to organize changing work assignments. (Required proficiency) Medical terminology knowledge.
