Job Opportunity At UF HealthThis position may require travel to other UF Health Heart & Vascular clinics to provide coverage as needed.Join a close-knit Heart & Vascular team where collaboration, strong provider relationships, and patient-focused care are at the heart of everything we do. Your day may include taking vital signs, performing EKGs, setting up Holter monitors, and assisting with in-office procedures. If you're a compassionate professional who enjoys providing exceptional patient care and expanding your clinical skills, this could be the opportunity for you at UF Health.A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician.QualificationsPosition Requirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredLess than one year - Medical Assistant experience.Prefer one year Medical Assistant experience.Must be graduate from approved Medical Assistant program.Necessary Skills:Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health care fields.Skilled in conflict resolution.Ability to use computers.Required Licensure/Certifications:Employees must obtain medical assistant certification within 6 months of date of hire/transfer into the position.Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
