Job DetailsResponsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferredGraduation from an accredited training program (school) or 2 years of supervised work experience in a medical setting. Exemptions will be vetted by Human Resources Director and Department DirectorMedical Assistant certification (such as NAHP, NCCT, AAMA, NHA, AMT, etc.) is requiredDemonstrated skill in venipunctureAbility to perform all medical assisting responsibilities under state and faculty guidelinesCPR certification requiredTotal Rewards The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
