Medical Assistant ILocation: 2227 US Highway 27 South, Sebring, FL 33870 Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM Pay Range: $19–$23/hr Experience Required: 1–2 years as a Medical Assistant Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Paid HolidaysAbout the RoleMPG is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I to support our physicians. This role ensures smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and exceptional patient care through hands-on clinical support, coordination, and patient education. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, value teamwork, and take pride in delivering high-quality care, this position is an excellent fit.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive patient intakes, including vital signs, medical histories, medications, and allergiesAssist providers with exams, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostic testingPerform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collectionPrepare, label, and process lab samples and point-of-care testsMaintain infection control, safety protocols, and equipment calibrationSupport triage, care coordination, and transitions across clinical settingsProvide patient education on medications, treatment plans, chronic conditions, and preventive careDocument clinical data and provider instructions accurately in the EHRSchedule appointments, manage referrals, authorizations, and track test resultsVerify insurance coverage and assist with prior authorizations, billing, and codingMonitor inventory and prepare exam/procedure rooms with required suppliesParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and safety drillsFacilitate communication among patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teamsUphold HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and compliance standardsDemonstrate excellent guest service to patients and internal team membersPerform other duties as assignedRequired SkillsInjectionsManual vital signsEMR experienceEKG competencyQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1–2 years of Medical Assistant experienceOpen to all specialties; primary care experience not requiredStrong communication, patient-service, and teamwork skillsAbility to prioritize and manage recurring clinical tasks
