Medical Assistant PositionsThe Medical Assistant (MA) is an important liaison between the patient/family, provider, and other care team members. The MA is responsible for coordinating patient flow by assisting in clinical data collection and review for patient intake, ensuring the appropriate information is available to the provider, and entering pertinent history in the medical record. The MA performs and assists with clinical procedures in accordance with divisional/department responsibilities as directed by the provider and per protocol.Medical Assistant IHigh School diploma or GED requiredMust obtain BLS through AHA within 90 daysCompletion of a certified Medical Assistant program or MA certification required (see below)Acceptable certifications are Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) and Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), National Healthcare Association (NHA)Basic clinical and administrative skills.Medical Assistant IIRequires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical AssistantHigh School diploma or GED requiredMust obtain BLS through AHA within 90 daysSuccessful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or certification as a medical assistant through an alternate pathwayCertification required (see below)Acceptable certifications are Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) and Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)Demonstrated proficiency in clinical and administrative tasks.Mentor and train new Medical Assistants.Medical Assistant IIIRequires 5+ years of experience as a Medical AssistantHigh School diploma or GED requiredMust obtain BLS through AHA within 90 daysCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant program requiredCertification required (see below)Acceptable certifications are Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) and Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)Advanced clinical and administrative skills.Involvement in quality improvement initiatives and advanced patient care.Serves as a coach, preceptor, and mentor to new medical assistant associatesPositions for new Kingswood specialty location, and will be asked to help at other locations as/if neededAbout UsNemours Children's Health is an internationally recognized pediatric health system serving more than 1.7 million patient encounters each year.
