Medical Assistant PositionNemours is seeking an MA II to join our team in Concordville, PA. The MA is an important liaison between the patient/family, provider, and other care team members. The MA is responsible for coordinating patient flow by assisting in clinical data collection and review for patient intake, ensuring the appropriate information is available to the provider, and entering pertinent history in the medical record. The MA performs and assists with clinical procedures in accordance with divisional/department responsibilities as directed by the provider and per protocol.As part of your role, you will be required to support clinics at various Nemours locations in the Delaware Valley.Medical Assistant I:High School diploma or GED requiredMust obtain BLS through AHA within 90 daysCompletion of a certified Medical Assistant program or MA certification required (see below)Acceptable certifications are Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) and Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), National Healthcare Association (NHA)Basic clinical and administrative skills.Medical Assistant II:Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.High School diploma or GED requiredMust obtain BLS through AHA within 90 daysSuccessful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or certification as a medical assistant through an alternate pathwayCertification required (see below)Acceptable certifications are Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) and Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)Demonstrated proficiency in clinical and administrative tasks.Mentor and train new Medical Assistants.Medical Assistant III:Requires 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.High School diploma or GED requiredMust obtain BLS through AHA within 90 daysCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant program requiredCertification required (see below)Acceptable certifications are Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) and Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)Advanced clinical and administrative skills.Involvement in quality improvement initiatives and advanced patient care.Serves as a coach, preceptor, and mentor to new medical assistant associatesThis is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday. The practice operates extended hours, and candidates must be available to work one evening per week until 6:30 p.m. and a minimum of six Saturdays per year to support patient access and operational needs. Flexibility to support clinic operations during practice hours is required.
