If you're energized by a busy clinical setting, enjoy working alongside a supportive team, and are passionate about delivering high?quality care, we'd love to meet you.About the RoleAs a Medical Assistant, you'll be a vital part of the patient experience from the moment they walk through the door until they leave with clear instructions and confident care. You'll work in a collaborative, high?volume urgent care environment where your skills and compassion make an immediate impact every day.What You'll DoWelcome and room patients, obtain accurate histories, and record vital signsAssist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, testing, and treatmentsPerform CLIA?waived lab testing, collect and process specimens, and maintain quality controlAdminister medications, injections, and vaccines under provider supervisionConduct EKGs, point?of?care testing, and other diagnostic support tasksDraw blood for lab testing as orderedEnsure documentation is complete, accurate, and timelyPrepare and maintain clean, well?stocked exam roomsSupport efficient patient flow in a fast?paced environmentPerform drug screenings and provide patient education and discharge instructionsCollaborate with providers and teammates to deliver seamless careFollow all infection control, safety, and compliance standardsWhat You BringMedical Assistant certification or relevant clinical trainingExperience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or other fast?paced settings (preferred)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to stay calm, focused, and effective under pressureExcellent communication and a compassionate, patient?first mindsetA positive, dependable, team?oriented attitudeWhy You'll Love Working With UsAt AFC Urgent Care, you'll find a place where your clinical expertise is valued, your compassion is essential, and your team truly has your back.
