Join Team Wellward: Medical AssistantWellward Regenerative Medicine is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and growth-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. Wellward is a Lexington, Kentucky-based integrative healthcare practice focused on transforming the way pain, orthopedic, and wellness care are delivered. Our multidisciplinary model combines regenerative medicine, sports medicine, non-surgical orthopedics, pain management, mental health, functional medicine, and lifestyle-based care to help patients heal, move, and live better. We are looking for individuals who enjoy learning, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a team that is helping shape the future of healthcare.What You'll DoSupport clinicians in delivering innovative, patient-centered treatment plans.Provide exceptional customer service and compassionate patient care.Obtain and accurately document patient histories and clinical information within our electronic health record (eClinicalWorks)Assist with medical documentation, follow-up requests, and care coordination.Prepare examination and procedure rooms.Collect and process laboratory specimens, including urine samples.Assist providers with minimally invasive procedures and regenerative medicine treatments.Reinforce patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care under provider guidance.Maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA and compliance standards.Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative team members to ensure outstanding patient experience.Assist with phone calls, prescription requests, referrals, prior authorizations, and patient communications.Utilize technology and digital tools to support both in-person and remote patient care.QualificationsPrevious Medical Assistant experience required.Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred but not required.Experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, pain management, procedural medicine, or regenerative medicine is a plus.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesComfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExperience with electronic health records (eClinicalWorks experience is a plus)Ability to learn new clinical processes and adapt to provider-specific workflows.Strong communication and problem-solving skillsReliable transportation and dependable attendanceWhat Makes Someone Successful at Wellward?Genuine passion for helping people improve their health and quality of life.Positive attitude and willingness to learn.Comfort with technology and process improvement.Ability to think critically and work independently when appropriate.Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and continuous growthScheduleFull-Time Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Occasional overtime may be required.Compensation$18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.BenefitsMedical InsuranceSafe Harbor 401(k) with Company MatchDental, Vision, Life, Accident, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance OptionsPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffEmployee Discounts on Services and ProductsPositive, Collaborative Work EnvironmentOpportunities for personal growth and developmentBenefits subject to eligibility requirements and may change over time.Why Wellward?At Wellward, we believe healthcare should be proactive, personalized, and empowering.
