Our health system encompasses two hospital locations in Robbinsdale and Maple Grove as well as a network of 23 clinics which includes 13 primary clinics, 6 specialty clinics, 4 urgent care/urgency centers and emergency care offerings covering five counties.The Medical Assistant will manage the patient flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their patients. Patients come from a variety of backgrounds and various age groups requiring individualized care including infants, children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics. The focus of the Medical Assistant is on collaborative, supportive and delegated tasks as described in the Blaze Health Medical Assistant scope of practice. Delegable tasks and competencies are specific to the role of the Supervising Nurse and Supervising Provider and are described by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. The Medical Assistant receives direction and collaborates with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to meet the defined goals of the customer, shift, department and organization. Communication with the health care team related to progress, concerns, questions or problems that arise are an essential element of the Medical Assistant role. Unit based skills list outlines specific expectations including technical procedures with competency assessment/validation. Skill and competency validations will occur upon hire and on a schedule determined by Blaze Health based on the Blaze Health Mandatory Education, Training, Education, License, Registration, and Certification policy.Work Group: Non Contract Hours per two week pay period: 48 Shift: Day/Evening 12 hours Weekend Requirement: Weekends by Department Rotation Schedule: Schedule is subject to change based on operational needs: Week 1: M 8:00a-8:30p/Th 7:45a-8:15p Week 2: Sa/Su 8:00a-8:30p Week 3: M 7:45a-8:15p/F 8:00a-8:30p Week 4: M/Tu 7:45a-8:15p Week 5: Sa/Su 8:00a-8:30p Week 6: Tu 8:00a-8:30p/F 7:45a-8:15p Call Requirement: None Remote or On-site: On-site FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Benefit Eligibility: Health insurance benefits are available for this position. North Memorial Health offers multiple health plans based on work group eligibility. Salary Range: B11 ($19.76 - $29.64), based on experience Sign-On Bonus: Eligible for up to $3,000. Bonus is prorated based on FTE. Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
