Medical AssistantNow offering a $1,500 sign on bonus for Medical Assistant new hires!Effective March 1, 2023 and expires April 30, 2023. Applicable only for MA positions in the Centers of Excellence and Maryland Family Care practices.The Medical Assistant demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department. Additionally, the MAI demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. Assists the MD/NP/PA in performing procedures. Operates, maintains and calibrates all equipment.RequirementsEducation and Work Experience:High School Diploma or GEDA minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-ParamedicSpecific RequirementsCertification Requirements:CPR-preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Microsoft Word, Power Point, ExcelMicrosoft OutlookMeditech (if applicable to position)Epic (if applicable to position)Performance Manager/NetLearningComputer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.Other Requirements:May be required to travel to satellite offices
