This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting providers and ensuring efficient clinic operations.Essential ResponsibilitiesDocument patient information accurately in the EHR (EPIC)Complete intake for new and returning patientsPrepare patients and assist providers during examsAdminister vaccines and perform basic clinical proceduresDraw blood and complete screenings as directedParticipate in daily huddles and support care team coordinationSchedule follow-ups and assist with patient flowAddress barriers to care and support treatment complianceMaintain clean, stocked, and compliant exam roomsProcess and route tasks in a timely mannerFollow all HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelinesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentGraduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with DiplomaCurrent BLS certificationExperienceMinimum of 6 months of Medical Assistant experience orCurrently enrolled in a medical, nursing, or EMT programSkills & AbilitiesStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentBasic knowledge of medical terminology and proceduresProficient in EHR systems and Microsoft OfficeDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsBenefits & RewardsMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife and Disability InsuranceGenerous PTO + 7 paid holidays401(k) with employer contribution after one yearEmployee discount programGrowth OpportunitiesPet InsuranceJoin UsIf you're ready to grow your career and make a meaningful impact in patient care, apply today and join Tampa Family Health Centers.Please note that employee's initial training schedule may differ from the regular schedule of the position. All new hires, including part-time employees, must be available for up to 40 hours of in-person, on-site training during their first week. Additional Mandatory training may continue for approximately two to three weeks, depending on the position and training requirements. Training may take place at a TFHC location other than the employees assigned work location.Shift Schedule Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday rotations required (as scheduled)
