Medical Assistant - AmbulatoryOffering a competitive sign on bonus to the hired candidate. Please discuss with the hiring manager or recruiter for more details. This position will split time between in-person clinical support at the Specialty Same-Day Care Clinic (SSDC) in Culpeper and the CPG Clinical Float Team, with opportunities for remote work-from-home clinical support as operational needs allow. The role will provide clinical support across Primary Care, Specialty Care, and Pediatric clinics throughout the Culpeper area, including SSDC. SSDC provides acute care visits as well as specialty services including dermatology, allergy, bariatrics, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric urology, and pediatric nephrology. The Clinical Float Team provides flexible coverage and support to clinics based on staffing and operational needs. Training will be provided for all areas of the role, and flexibility is essential to support changing clinical and operational needs across the Culpeper area.MA Medical Assistants provide clinical support, assist with administrative tasks, and provide general support in an ambulatory setting under the direction or supervision of the patient's physician or LIP/RN designee in accordance with policy, procedure, and competency to promote patient health and wellness. Duties may include patient care, vital signs, assisting licensed health care professionals, performing various laboratory tests, quality control indicators, and clinical intake. This position requires providing service to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.Position Compensation Range: The pay range for this role is $18.37 - $28.47 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANT:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience: None RequiredLicensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), the AMT (American Medical Technologists), NAHP (The National Association of Healthcare Professions), the ARMA (American Registry of Medical Assistants), or the NHA (National Healthcare Association). Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 6 months from the date of hire.Physical Demands: Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 20-50lbs.
