We are proud to provide a supportive, team-oriented environment where both patients and employees feel valued.As a Medical Assistant (MA) in Daphne, Alabama, you will play a vital dual role in delivering both exceptional clinical support and seamless patient experience. This position blends traditional Medical Assistant responsibilities with front-end patient coordination functions to ensure smooth clinic operations — especially during launch and early growth phases.You will be a trusted partner to providers, patients, and families — supporting care from check-in through discharge. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a team-first mindset, as you may rotate between clinical and patient-facing administrative responsibilities based on operational needs.What You'll Do:Clinical Care & Provider Support Greet, room, and prepare patients for appointments with warmth and professionalism.Complete patient intake, obtain vital signs, and conduct defined scope assessments.Perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, RSV, COVID, hemoglobin, etc.).Perform intramuscular injections safely and accurately while monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.Perform diagnostic X-rays in accordance with clinic protocols and safety standards (training provided).Assist physicians and advanced care practitioners with patient care.Prepare exam rooms and ensure infection control standards are maintained.Support medication refills, prior authorizations, referrals, and patient recall efforts.Ensure patient charts are accurate and up to date in the EMR.Patient Experience & Care Coordination Welcome patients and guide them through check-in and registration processes.Collect and verify demographic and insurance information in the EMR.Schedule appointments, follow-ups, consults, and referrals.Answer and manage incoming calls with empathy and professionalism.Support outreach related to quality measures and follow-up care.Maintain strong communication with clinical and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care.Assist with opening/closing clinic procedures and general organization.Team Collaboration & Launch Support Rotate between clinical and coordination duties based on daily clinic needs.Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support cross-coverage.Contribute to workflow optimization and continuous improvement efforts.Serve as a positive representative of the clinic's mission, vision, and values.What You'll Need:High school diploma or equivalent.Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is preferred.BLS certification required1+ year of experience in a medical assistant or patient-facing healthcare role.Comfort navigating electronic medical records and scheduling systems.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.A collaborative mindset and willingness to be cross-trained.Commitment to delivering compassionate, inclusive, and family-centered care.Compensation & Schedule:Clinic hours and shifts vary between the following windows:North Alabama Clinics: Huntsville & Madison: Monday-Friday 12pm to 8pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pmCentral Alabama Clinics: Hoover & Tuscaloosa: Monday-Friday 12pm to 8pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pmTrussville: Monday-Friday 10am to 6pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pmSouth Alabama Clinics: Daphne: Monday-Friday 12pm to 8pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pmMobile: Monday-Friday 10am to 6pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pmHourly pay rate based on years of experienceEvening premium pay applies to all shifts beginning at or after 6:00 PMWeekend Premium Pay: Eligible for weekend premium pay on all weekend shifts worked.Weekend Requirement: Full-time clinicians are expected to work a minimum of four weekend shifts per month.Holiday Requirement: Required to participate in holiday coverage, including: One enterprise-designated winter holidayOne enterprise-designated summer holidayOne designated high-impact holidayHoliday Premium Pay: All qualifying holiday shifts are eligible for applicable premium pay.What We Offer:A collaborative, mission-driven workplace focused on kindness, equity, and service excellenceOpportunities to grow within an organization that values internal development and career progressionSupportive leadership and strong cross-functional collaborationCompetitive compensation including shift differential and premium pay opportunitiesA role where your organizational skills and people-first approach directly impact patient experience and clinic successWhy Work at UC4C?A positive, inclusive workplace cultureCompetitive compensation packagesFull benefits including health, dental, and visionOpportunities for professional growth and developmentThe chance to make a real impact in the lives of children and familiesIf you do not see a current opening that matches your skillset, we still want to hear from you.
