Medical Assistant (MA)Axis Health is seeking a Medical Assistant who will provide clinical and administrative support to medical and/or psychiatric providers and their patients in an outpatient setting. The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for preparing for patient visits, performing assigned clinical tasks, rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing point of care testing, assisting in minor procedures, fielding patient phone calls, obtaining prior authorizations and maintaining patient care supplies. The MA works within an integrated, multi-disciplinary team and may be assigned to work with primary care providers, psychiatric providers or both.Site with Opening: Dove Creek Integrated Healthcare, Dove Creek, COHiring Organization: Axis Health SystemsSalary: Starting pay is $19.00 - $22.14 hourlyQualifications: The ideal candidate for the Medical Assistant position will maintain a High School Diploma/GED as well as 1 year as a Medical Assistant or clinical support position in a medical or behavioral health setting. Preferred experience: 3 years as a Medical Assistant and CMA (Certified Medical Assistant).
