Family Practice Clinic Medical AssistantJoin our team as a rotating-shift, full-time, Family Practice Clinic Medical Assistant (MA) in Verona, NJ.Thrive in a People-First Environment and Make Healthcare BetterThrive: We empower our team with career growth opportunities, tuition assistance, and resources that support your wellness, education, and financial well-being.People-First: We prioritize your well-being with paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and a supportive, inclusive culture where you are valued and cared for.Make Healthcare Better: We use advanced technology to support our team and enhance patient care.Learn more about the benefits offered for this job.Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Assistant provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.QualificationsJob Requirements:High school diploma or GED equivalent.Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Preferred Job Requirements:Associate's degree.Graduated from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care.Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
