Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant role will provide professional family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents as delegated by a provider or RN which may include the following duties:Escort patients to exam room and appropriately document information.Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by a clinician.Perform and assist with procedures and treatments as directed by clinician, such as; administering hearing/vision tests, rapid strep testing, nebulizer treatments and urine catheterizations.Perform laboratory specimen collection and processing to ensure the accurate and appropriate performance of patient testing while maintaining patient dignity, comfort and confidentiality.Maintain knowledge of, and comply with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards.Required:High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR completion of an LPN/LVN or RN program.Preferred:1 year experience in a clinic setting or completion of Medical Assistant externship at a Children's Minnesota Clinic.Pediatric experience.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Phlebotomy and basic laboratory skills (if required by clinic site).License/Certifications:Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
