Medical AssistantLocation: 12746 W Jefferson Blvd, Playa Vista, CA 90094 Float Location: 8635 W. 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90048 Shift: 8 hours between Experience with the following OBGYN procedures required: PAP, Coplo, Leep, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NSTRequired Qualifications:2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting1 year of OBGYN setting experienceMedical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited programProficiency with blood/lab draws and venipunctureHSD/GEDBLS (AHA or ARC)Flu vaccination (no exemptions/no declinations)Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plansDemonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summariesJob Duties:Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical recordAssist with tracking and monitoring department specific dataExplain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practiceSet up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needsClean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelinesAdminister immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by providerDraw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by providerNote: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
