Job Description
The position provides clinical support in a fast-paced neurosurgery, spine, and pain management practice. Key responsibilities include:
* Rooming patients and obtaining/documenting vitals, medications, allergies, and medical histories
* Performing patient intake and clinical triage
* Assisting physicians with examinations, procedures, and injections
* Preparing procedure rooms, trays, and maintaining appropriate sterile technique
* Preparing patient charts with imaging, referrals, operative history, and outside records
* Supporting pre-operative and post-operative patient care and coordination
* Assisting with pain management procedures and operating/positioning the C-Arm under physician direction
* Maintaining radiation safety and proper fluoroscopy procedures
* Coordinating referrals, imaging, home health, and specialty services
* Responding to clinical patient calls and messages
* Maintaining accurate EMR documentation and following HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and practice policies
