Our Neurosurgery clinic cares for patients with spine, brain, pituitary and neuro-oncology conditions and is supported by a collaborative team of Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants.ResponsibilitiesPerform patient intake, including medical/surgical history, vital signs, medication reconciliation and screeningsCommunicate pertinent patient information to providersManage patient in-basket messages, medication refills and prior authorizationsPrepare and stock exam rooms and monitor supplies and expiration datesSupport efficient patient flow in a high-volume clinical environmentQualificationsMinimum QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a medical office, ambulatory care facility, or medical group practice.American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Preferred Qualifications:Certified Registered Medical Assistant from board approved Medical Assistant Organization highly preferred.Medical Assistant experience 2+ yearsNeurosurgery/Neurology experience 1+ yearsEpic experiencePrior Authorizations
