Job description
Medical AssistantPrepare patients for provider exam, take vital signs, record patient history and assist in office procedures. Administer treatment, medications and injections as ordered. Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence. Call patient regarding test results as instructed by provider.Minimum Education Requirement: High school diploma or GED required or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma. Completion of Medical Assistant Program required.Minimum Experience Requirement: Three to five years in a healthcare setting is preferred. Computer skills required. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Excellent customer service skills required.Minimum License Requirement: BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer. Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training.Pay Range: $23.00 - $34.50
