Medical Assistant, OncologyCompensation: $19.00 - $25.00 / hour depending on experience.Schedule: Day shiftJob Responsibilities:Collaborate with practice physician(s) and office manager to deliver clinical supportAid physicians during patient examinations and treatmentsConduct patient interviews and accurately document their informationMeasure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and heightPerform blood sample collection and processing for laboratory testingRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent experienceHold a valid MA, CNA, LPN, or EMT license/certificationMedical Assistants hired after 7/1/16 with a Certificate or Diploma of Completion must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 6 monthsExclusion: Foreign Medical Doctors holding a DiplomaCurrent BLS certificationEKG and Phlebotomy Certifications mandatory for CNA license holders in Primary Care PracticesCNA, LPN, EMT licenses must be from the state of FloridaFamiliarity with HIPAA/OSHA regulationsStrong interpersonal and customer service abilitiesDisplay empathy, integrity, and ethical conductEffective communication skills with patients, colleagues, and managementProficiency in a second language is advantageous
