Medical Assistant or LPN - Cardiology - Join BayCare as a Medical Assistant or LPNLocation: ARC 3 | Tampa, FL Facility: BayCare Health System, TPA Cardiology Tampa-BMG Shift: Days | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite Status: Non-Exempt Weekend Work: None On Call: No Remote Work: Not eligible (Onsite only)As a Medical Assistant or LPN, you will support clinical operations by assisting providers and delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient workflows within the practice.Key responsibilities include:Assisting providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatmentsObtaining patient histories and preparing patients for visitsPerforming routine lab procedures and preparing specimens for transport to the labFollowing up on test orders and communicating results to providers and patientsMaintaining patient education materialsCreating and updating patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR)Maintaining medical equipment and clinical suppliesEnsuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulationsPerforming other duties as assignedEducation Required:High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Preferred:Completion of a Medical Assistant program or related technical trainingExperience Preferred:Medical Assistant experienceLicensure / Certification Required:Approved Medical Assistant Certification within six (6) months of hire OR proof of active license/certification as one of the following:EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)NREMT (Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician)ParamedicLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Additional Preference:If you have completed a Medical Assistant externship, be sure to include the location and dates on your application and resume.
