BayCare is Tampa Bay's leading multi-specialty group with more than 600 providers practicing 45 specialties in over 175 outpatient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions.Role OverviewAs a Medical Assistant or LPN, you will support clinical operations by assisting providers and delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient workflows within the practice.Key Responsibilities Include:Assisting providers with patient examination, procedures, and treatmentCollecting patient histories and preparing patients for visitsPerforming routine lab procedures and preparing specimens for transport to the labFollowing up on test orders and communicating results to providers and patientsMaintaining patient education materialsManaging and updating patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR)Maintaining medical equipment and ordering clinical suppliesEnsuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulationsPerforming other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Preferred: Completion of a Medical Assistant program or related technical training Experience Preferred: Two (2) years of Medical Assistant experienceLicensure / Certification Required:Approved Medical Assistant Certification within six (6) months of hire OR proof of active license/certification as one of the following:EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) or NREMTParamedicLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Additional Preference:If you have completed a Medical Assistant externship, it is crucial to include this information on your application and resume.
