Join Our Caring CommunityAs a Medical Assistant Floater you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team engaging with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant role makes a difference in the patient care we offer and assists physicians and other clinicians by providing a unique blend of knowledge to accomplish prescribed medical treatment. Medical Assistants are multiskilled health professionals responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facilities while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement.Work location: CenterWell Altamonte, 5997 Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32812Medical Assistant Floater Role Overview:Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vitalsRecord and updating patient medical histories in electronic medical records softwarePerform routine tests and/or screenings such as mammograms, colorectal screening, and EKGsPrepare and administer medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed providerCounsels patients on medication and special dietsWound care and changing dressingsSterilize and cleaning equipment and ensuring maintenance of examination roomsCollaborate closely with physicians and nurses to ensure top level patient careHighly accurate in collecting phlebotomy samples from senior-aged patientsUse your skills to make an impactRequiredSuccessful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from ProviderHigh school diploma or equivalentCPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) CertifiedThis role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TBPreferredCertified or Registered Medical Assistant1+ years of Medication/vaccine administration experience1+ years MA experienceBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam before foreign language communicationValue-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.1+ years of Phlebotomy experienceMedical Assistant Working hours:Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PMScheduled 32 hours per week$1000 Sign on BonusWe may require local travel; We reimburse mileage.AlertHumana values personal identity protection.
