Medical Assistant – Orthopedics | Westmont/Lombard | $1,500 Sign-On BonusBring your Medical Assistant experience to a specialty where every day offers something different.At Duly Health and Care, you will join an established Orthopaedics department and work alongside physicians, APPs, imaging, therapy and other clinical teams. You will gain hands-on experience caring for patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions while supporting them through treatment, procedures and recovery.Position HighlightsDepartment: OrthopedicsPrimary Locations: Westmont MOB and LombardSchedule: Full-time, 40 hours per weekHours: Monday–Friday, with shifts scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.Travel: Local travel for coverage may be required, including Westmont PasquinelliBonus: $1,500 sign-on bonusMore Than a Routine Medical Assistant RoleIn Orthopedics, you will build specialized clinical experience while working closely with your assigned physician and care team. The fast-paced environment, variety of providers and exposure to different orthopaedic needs help keep each day engaging.Depending on the department and provider, you may gain experience with:Patient rooming, health histories and medication reconciliationAssisting with in-office procedures and dressing changesBracing and durable medical equipment workflowsSuture removal and other orthopaedic-specific responsibilitiesCoordinating care with imaging, therapy and surgery teamsYou will also have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with patients as you support them from injury and diagnosis through treatment and recovery.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health historyProvide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid proceduresCertified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injectionsAssist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filingConduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy testsMaintain clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visitsProvide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE valuesSome travel to assist other local clinics may be requiredQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredCompletion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience requiredSeveral of our clinical specialties, including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following: American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire requiredMay require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hirePrior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA or EMT, or two years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient careBenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance.Access to a mental health benefit at no cost.Employer provided life and disability insurance.$5,250 Tuition Reimbursement per year.Immediate 401(k) match.40 hours paid volunteer time off.A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay and a financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non-physician team members once eligibility requirements are met.If you are committed to putting our patients first and helping shape the future of care, you belong at Duly.The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $ for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $ , with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
