Job PostingLying just inland between the State's coastal mountain ranges and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Adventist Health Reedley has been serving the Central Valley since 2011. We are comprised of a 49-bed acute care hospital and 60 clinics in 27 rural communities with primary and specialty care services. Reedley is a perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts as it is located in the central San Joaquin Valley portion of California, close to Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. In addition to the beautiful landscape, it also offers a great cost of living and close-knit communities.Job SummaryPerforms non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.Job RequirementsEducation and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: RequiredLicenses/Certifications:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: PreferredBasic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredSuccessful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire.: PreferredPhlebotomy certificate: PreferredFacility Specific License/Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredEssential Functions:Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.Obtains vital signs. Reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.Performs venipunctures as ordered.Performs audiometry and vision testing.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Organizational Requirements:Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
