As the state-designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and the only pediatric hospital in Washington's South Sound, we provide a comprehensive network of care designed specifically for children and adolescents.Our vision is to be the safest, highest-quality place for children to receive care, where every child has a medical home and every family feels supported.Position SummaryThe Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.Responsibilities:Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include:Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staffInterviewing patientsObtaining vital signsAssisting patients in preparing for exams or treatmentsPerforming specimen collection, including venipunctureAdministration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competencyRelaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregiversFulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include:Sending and receiving of patient medical recordsFacilitating patient referralsPreparing forms for patientsRequirements:Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferredCurrent BLS certificationAbout Mary Bridge Children'sFor more than 70 years, MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network has cared for children and families across the South Sound. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $24.83 - $35.71 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
