Medical Assistant - Pediatrics - HillcrestThis is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm. The occasional Saturday shift (about once every couple of months) from 8am-12pm is required. Located at Scripps Coastal in Hillcrest. Why join Scripps Health? Your job duties: Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographicsRequired Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman Detail oriented Experience administering vaccines Required Certification/Registration: BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: MA in an outpatient setting, preferably PediatricsClinical SupportCentral San Diego County-SAN DIEGO-SCRIPPS COASTAL MEDICAL CENTER - HILLCRESTSCRIPPS COASTAL MEDICAL CENTER - HILLCREST 501 WASHINGTON STREET SAN DIEGO 92103Scripps Coastal Medical CenterSep 19, 2026, 12:10:00 AM Benefit Status : FT - FULL-TIME WITH BENEFITS25.95 - 32.56 In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs.
