Medical Assistant PositionThis Medical Assistant position is a Monday-Friday schedule with no evenings and weekends covering one of our many clinic locations. It is an important part of the care team who work closely with our licensed practitioners to provide care for our patients. This role is responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, and assisting physicians with exams.Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. We will discuss current open positions and your preferences during the interview.The job utilizes a combination of skills including:Clerical computer and phone skillsCustomer service/people skillsMedical terminologyHands on clinical skillsTypical job skills include:Taking vital signs like pulse and blood pressureUpdating medications, allergies and other information in patient's medical recordsPerforming some medical procedures, specimen collection and lab testingThis is a combined posting for Associate Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant Registered and Medical Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. If you have the qualifications of any one of these three positions, we encourage you to apply.$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible rehire and external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.Associate Medical AssistantRequired qualifications:Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant CertificationNational Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)Preferred qualifications:6 months - Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment.6 months - Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).Associate Medical Assistant Salary Range, NE Washington: Min: $17.06, Max: $26.07Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $20.91/hr or higher depending on experience.Medical Assistant RegisteredRequired Qualifications:Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire.National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.6 months of healthcare experience.6 months of Medical Assistant experience.Preferred Qualifications:Coursework/Training - Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk.Medical Assistant Registered, Salary Range, NE Washington: Min: $17.06, Max: $26.07Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $20.91/hr or higher depending on experience.Medical AssistantRequired qualifications:Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.6 months Healthcare experience6 months Medical Assistant experienceMedical Assistant Salary Range, NE Washington: Min: $18.50, Max: $28.27Most candidates can expect a starting pay of $22.19/hr or higher depending on experience.Career GrowthWe are proud to offer a robust career ladder for Medical Assistants at Providence.
