We are seeking a Medical Assistant (Physician Practice) to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities may include:
* Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician
* Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records
* Collect laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing
* Explain treatment procedures, medications, or physicians' instructions to patients
* Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
* Provide prescription information to pharmacies
* Perform routine laboratory tests and sample analyses
* Clean and sterilize instruments
* Dispose of contaminated supplies
* Schedule patient appointments
* Send referral information to providers, facilities, hospitals
* Greet and check in patients arriving at clinic
* Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms
* Inventory medical, lab, or office supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in healthcare
* Familiarity with medical office procedures
